Admission to the School

Admission to the school is subject to the regulations provided statutorily by the Nottingham Diocese, The Catholic Education Service, the Department for Education and Skills and the Leicestershire Education Authority.

2013 - 2014 Admissions Policy for Catholic Voluntary Aided Schools in Leicestershire

Admission of pupils to Catholic Schools is controlled by the School Board of Governors acting in the light of these regulations. The authority of the governors in the matter of admission is customarily delegated to the Headteacher of the school with whom the governors have active consultation in the matter. Application for admission is to be made to the Headteacher in the first instance.

MAKING APPLICATION

Applications should normally be made by 30th September each year.
Pupils will commence school at the beginning of the year immediately after their fourth birthday. The cut off date is Midnight on the 31st August for entry at the beginning of the autumn term
You need to complete an application form, ideally in school, and at this time please bring evidence of:

  • Birthday, providing us with sight of your child’s birth certificate.
  • Where applicable, please let us have sight of your child’s baptismal certificate.
