Notification of Early Closure for Open Evening for parents:
Thursday 22nd September 2011 - School will close at 12.00 p.m. 
All of our normal bus services to and from Draycott, Breaston, Stanton and Trowell will take students home at this time.  The reason for the early finish is because our Open Evening takes place on Thursday between 6.30 - 9.00 p.m. and large numbers of students will be asked to return to school during those hours to work as part of our Open Evening.  The early finish allows students and staff time to go home and return to school for the evening session.  Thank you Mr Monk

Mumps
We have received calls from parents of students who have been diagnosed with or suspected of having mumps. As we have several members of staff who are pregnant in school, if you suspect your son or daughter may have mumps please take them to see their Doctor immediately and do not send them to school if they are confirmed as having mumps until they are fully recovered.

Medication in school
Students who bring medication to school must bring a note from their parent/carer giving permission for the medication to be adminstered on site.  All medication must be given to the Medical Assistant/First Aid Room to be adminstered by the Medical Assistant,  and the mediaction must be labelled with the prescribed medication dose on the bottle/packet.
