Marriage and Family Life Commission : Bereaved parents When our son Philip died, we felt the bottom had fallen out of our world. We had so many questions, but knew that no answers would ever bring him back. Very few people knew how to help. Supporting a family through the loss of a child can be one of the
hardest situations you can face. Whether in your church, or in the
surrounding community, you may feel acutely aware that there's only
so much you can do to help. Maybe you know someone who has experienced a loss like ours, and you might be wondering if there is ever any way they can rediscover a new 'normal'. During the Living with Loss day, organised by Care for the Family,
parents who have lost a child have an opportunity to meet with others
who understand the pain when a child dies. The day provides a safe
place for them to talk honestly and openly with other bereaved parents about how their life has changed. The next Living with Loss day takes place in Bradley Stoke on
Saturday 28 April. Please will you tell any bereaved parents you know
about this special day? It will strengthen them, and give them a
renewed hope for the future. They can book online by clicking here or by calling us on (029) 2081 0800.
