New Outreach Ministry
Reach4 is the name for the new outreach youth ministry team of the Diocesan Youth Service. Set upas a response to the review of provision for young people in the diocese, the team is staffed by one of the Programme Leaders and two second year volunteers. Reach4 offers support for school staff, youth leaders and catechists in their youth ministry and is available to work with young people in schools, parish youth groups, confirmation programmes, retreat days, school missions, chaplaincy teams, liturgy preparation ............. Support and guidance for youth leaders

The restructuring of the youth service, initiated by the external review of 2006, is nearly complete and the changes have resulted in Reach4 being created, see above, and in the increased availability of the Director of Youth Services, Fr Joe, to support and advise youth ministers in schools and parishes. This is a fast moving and packed series that has been designed to engage with Catholic teenagers of today. The style of the filming takes into account youth culture by using images, music, humour and teaching in the language of young people. The flexibility of this video course means that it can be used for Confirmation, youth groups and schools.
