9 -11 April	Thomas Merton Society: The Eighth Biennial Conference of the Thomas Merton Society of Great Britain and Ireland will be held at Oakham School, Rutland (Merton's old school) from the 9th to the 11th of April this year. The theme of the Conference will be The night spirit and the dawn air. Keynote addresses will be given by Paul Quenon, a monk of Gethsemane Abbey, Merton's monastery, Mary Grey, a well-known theologian and professorial research fellow at St. Mary's University College, London and Margaret Silf, writer and speaker on lay spirituality. Besides which there will be a number of concurrent papers and workshops on Mertonian themes. The cost of the residential weekend will be 220 pounds. 18-20th June	Forthcoming Ecumenical Conference at Swanwick Catching up with Jesus - A Call to Deeper Unity This weekend will be led by Diarmuid O' Murchu a member of the Sacred Heart Missionary Order who is a social psychologist and whose entire working life has been in social ministry.
