The Pilgrimage of the Miraculous Relic Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe . . .

Visit to St Barnabas Cathedral, Nottingham Friday 21 April – Wednesday 26 April 2017

Cathedral Dean Canon Geoffrey Hunton and The Guardians of Our Lady of Guadalupe are pleased to announce that a Pilgrimage Visit of the Miraculous Relic Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe has been arranged for April of this year. From Friday 21 April – Wednesday 26 April 2017

There will be special Masses, other events and opportunity to venerate the Image, which has the status of a First Class Relic and has brought blessings to thousands of people as it has toured the United Kingdom. During this time, it is expected that many thousands of Pilgrims are expected to come to the Cathedral from throughout the Diocese and beyond. Our Lady of Guadalupe is Protectress of the Unborn and Patroness of the Life Movement.

The Image is based at the Shrine in Bedford and is one of 220 authorised digital replicas, which confers the same blessings and graces as the original in Mexico. During this special week, there will be Masses honouring Our Lady, other events and opportunity to venerate the Image. Our Lady of Guadalupe is also Protectress of the Unborn and Patroness of the Life Movement, which is particularly significant in this 50th anniversary year since the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act in this country.
